Heath’s Bio

World renowned coach Heath Waters is one of only a handful of coaches in the entire world to have the acclaimed status of being a fully registered coach on both the ATP and WTA Professional Tours. Heath has been a full time coach on the professional tour for the past nine years. Beginning in 2007 heath is working full time with wife Lindsay Lee-Waters former 33 in the world as she is making her comeback from having her 2nd child in 2006. In Heath’s spare time when not traveling with Lindsay on tour he will also coach ATP Tour Players Alex Bogomolov Jr, and Rubin Statham on a part time basis.
Every professional tour player that Heath Waters has ever coached has improved their ranking a minimum of at least 140 spots within 12 months or less of working with Heath. In 2005 Ashley Harkleroad came out of retirement and Heath coached her for 8 months until Heath signed a coaching contract with ATP Tour player Alex Bogomolov Jr. In the 8 months heath coached WTA Tour player Ashley Harkleroad, her ranking improved from 324 to 75 in the world. Along the way Ashley won 3 professional titles and had a 35-9 win/loss record while under heath’s tutelage.
In 2005-2006 Heath coached ATP Tour player Alex Bogomolov Jr. from July 2005 to July 2006. Under Heath’s tutelage Alex improved his ranking from 275 to 120 in the world. Along the way Alex won one singles title and two doubles titles. Alex also upset the top 10 ranked player in the world Fernando Gonzalez at the Australian Open. Alex also had wins over Ivo Karlovic, Sam Querry, Julien Benneteau, and many other top ranked players along the way.
Before Heath began coaching full time on the professional tour Heath was arguably the most successful junior tennis coach in the United States in the past decade. Every single one of Heath’s private students that Heath Waters has ever coached for more than 24 months has achieved no less than a top 25 ranking in the United States national rankings. Between 1996-2001 Heath’s junior students won over 15 gold balls (U.S. National Titles) and 20 International and National titles on top of that. Every student that Heath Waters has ever coached privately for more than 24 months has gone on to play professional tennis without exception. Every one of these students achieved a professional ranking with the exception of one who changed career paths. The highest achieved professional ranking of Heath’s junior students is so far 39 in the world achieved by Ashley Harkleroad on the WTA Tour.
Heath Waters created the world renowned player development system known as The ACE System in the early 90’s. It has been the most successful player developmental system ever created for the sport of tennis. It is a progressive system that continues to evolve as the great sport of tennis changes each year.
